Starting a blog...

Am learning how to blog for another purpose and decided that I wanted to do some more things with photos, etc. than I can do on Flickr.... Right now dealing with photos is challenging .

  • don't have a photo editor installed yet that lets me do all I want to do with photos easily

  • have to FIND the files of photos of the knitting I want to show

The header photo.....Have been felting some knitting and it looked like a garden on the drying rack. Here is a more complete photo.

The photo below is more complete
and also shows scarves.

Polar bear is from Family Circle Easy Knitted Toys. Fish is an adaptation based on a FiberSpace pattern with experimentation to get scales going; tried it in two directions. Roses and leaves are part of the Nicky Epstein Rose Trellis bag pattern, which you can see in the background of the photo on right. All the leaves and maybe some of the roses and the bag need more felting.

The flower in the lower right of the photo above is a Noni pattern (but you can't see its hot pink center). The flower at the polar bear's foot is also a Noni flower. In the vertical photo, there is another Noni pattern flower hanging in the midst of the scarves.

The scarf on the left is on its way soon to its owner. The scarf to the right of the flower is made from Classic Elite Bangles, and is one of my favorite scarves. I have knit this scarf for 3 other people.
